Oleme Jarmo Karing ja Katrin Essenson. Tegeleme pooldokumentaalse kunstilis-loogilise etenduse “Wake Up! It’s Time to Die” loomisega, mis peab saama lavaküpseks 13. jaanuariks 2016.

Üheks võimaluseks on luua lavaruumis reaalsus, millel on reaalsed tagajärjed. Mõjutada, mõjuda, küsida ja vastata radikaalselt. Mida see täpsemalt tähendab? Kuidas vastata küsimustele, millel pole kindlat vastust.

Me loome etenduse, kus me mõtted surmast ja suremisest tekitavad laval omaette reaalsuse koos valguse, heli, sõna ning liigutustega.

We are Jarmo Karing and Katrin Essenson, and we are creating a half-documentary artistical-logical performance ”Wake Up! It’s Time To Die”, which must be stage-ready by January 13, 2016.

The idea was born from our personal experience, when our close friend departed this life. The rituals at the funeral, the behaviour of those who attended it and of those who carried out the ceremony, raised questions in us. It’s justified to ask the right questions and find answers to them.

One option is to create real circumstances on the stage, with real consequences. To influence, to affect, to ask and to answer radically. What does this mean? How to answer questions that have no certain answers? But you just have to try to answer... And precise and contrasting situations on the stage bring important aspects to light.

Homo sapiens’s summary of his or her life starts as follows:

”I am not separated from other people by state borders or other visible borders, but by different views of life and different conceptions of the world...”

Each person is a whole and everyone carries with them their past, actions, essence and many other things, according to which we will remember them. It’s obvious that the better we know the person, the more intimately his or her departure affects us.

We create a performance, where our thoughts about death and dying evoke a reality of its own on the stage together with light, sound, words and movements.

With the help of you all we are able to polish the artistic features of our performance – we can engage a sound artist, produce decorations and reward our assistants and guest performers so that they can go to theatre in turn.

In short – we need support to cover the production expenses of our performance.
