We are producers of natural cosmetics and beauty accessories - Botanic Garden.
We are a family business and have been operating in Tallinn for 7 years. We have built the business from the bottom up. We have relied solely on our own efforts and have done everything ourselves: we invented the brand, sourced herbs and oils, developed products and packaging, attended markets, searched for retail partners and corporate clients, created the website. In short, we have stumbled, made mistakes, and forged our own path. Currently, we work in ten categories: natural oils, scrubs, nourishing and moisturizing products, massage candles, herbal teas, home fragrances, handmade soaps, floral water, and sauna accessories.
The key words for Botanic Garden are people, finest ingredients, Ayurveda, and love. It's all about people – us, crafters, and our wonderful clients. The ingredients we work with are medicinal, as well as wild, plants and herbs, basic and essential oils, superfoods and spices. Ayurveda is highly instrumental with many of its classic recipes adapted to our region and climate, local plants, and the overall lifestyle of Europeans.
We collaborate with private herb farms in Estonia, including Kubja Talu, Karu Talu, Ööbiku Ürditalu and others.
We use the purest organic ingredients and superfoods. Essential oils and base oils are mainly ordered from partners in Germany, allowing us to obtain oils certified for the EU. The oils' places of origin are various, including India, Guatemala, Brazil, and Sri Lanka. Thus, we work both locally with local producers and globally with major suppliers of cosmetic oils.
We support small business chains by designing our own packaging. Our natural corks are produced in small batches in Portugal, boxes and labels are cut and printed in Tallinn, and tempered glass bottles are supplied by a "green" manufacturer from Austria.
In addition to producing our own products, we undertake contract manufacturing projects, lead workshops for adults and children in an edutainment format, and actively represent Estonia at international vegan and design exhibitions and markets (Vegemessut Helsinki, Yoga Festival Helsinki, Oslo Vegetar Festival, Vegan Fair Berlin).
Since we produce everything ourselves, we can easily invite guests straight to our studio. We have searched for a long time to find a location to open our new studio until we have found it… Põhjala Tehas has met all the important conditions for us - an ideal location, two terraces where we can create cozy green areas for visitors, the ground floor, and a convenient entrance from the street. Ankru 8 will have a vertical garden, with one of the lines of the vertical garden starting right between our terraces. Põhjala Tehas suits us in terms of the visiting audience and like-minded designers who work at Põhjala Tehas.
We have already prepared scripts and programs for workshops and kids' parties. Our studio will always be filled with the aroma of essential oils: you can simply come, relax, enjoy a cup of coffee with aromatic spices or herbal tea. Aromatherapy is always for free. You can also gather for a stylish girls' party, create your own unique perfume or oil with theoretical and practical guidance provided by us. Or "hang out" on our terrace and watch children play with magical herbs during an edutainment program.
We expect that the new studio will constantly provide opportunities for PR, allow us to work more actively with influencers on social media, and increase brand awareness for Botanic Garden.
Our main goal is to raise funds for the technical area equipment:
- a refrigerator - 300 euros,
- a extractor hood - 350 euros,
- a dishwasher - 300 euros,
- an oven - 329 euros,
- an oak table for workshops - 600 euros.
In addition to the equipment, we will need to cover the renovation costs from our own funds and also prepare a reserve for rent payment. Opening a studio entails significant expenses but also greater opportunities than before. That's why we are eager to raise funds to equip the technical area, without which it would be impossible for us to offer you this magnificent creative space.
