Hello! My name is Iryna. I came from Ukraine after the war had started in my country. And now I want to start my own small business in Tartu, Estonia. Nutrisweets will be the first company which will produce healthy candies and other sweets in Tartu!
Having moved here I was really surprised by the amount of people who practise a healthy lifestyle and look great at any age.
This topic is close to me since I’m a doctor and have been practicing as a nutritionist for the last few years, correcting the lifestyle and nutrition of my patients. My mother was a food technologist at a confectionery factory so I’ve been familiar with food production since my childhood.
Baking cakes used to be my hobby. With the birth of my child I began to experiment and make healthy sweets without sugar, white flour and lactose as I know about their effect on the body. And all my friends both in Ukraine and here in Estonia, even those who cannot imagine their life without sweets, highly appreciated the taste of my products.
Healthy sweets will be useful for people who follow any special diets, such as a diet for diabetes, lactose-free or keto-diet. Also, they will suit athletes and absolutely everyone who cares about their health. The philosophy of my brand Nutrisweets is balance: balance of taste and healthiness!
I have already registered my company (Nutrisweets OÜ), but in order to start working as well as to be sure that all standards are met, it’s necessary to carry out tests, prescribed by the Agriculture and Food Board. In addition, according to the Estonian laws, if it is claimed that a product has some specific nutritional value (e.g. “sugar-free”), then this must to be confirmed by a laboratory too.
In total the launch of healthy candies production will require 2000 euros, quite a large amount for one person, but a feasible sum if we unite.
An additional sum of 1000 euros will contribute to the ecology of our planet and will help to order plastic-free packaging. It was a big surprise for me that packaging manufacturers do not have such options. I try to live and conduct my business while being as environmentally friendly as possible, so I agreed with one of the manufacturers who will make packages according to my vision.
You can make a masterpiece if in addition to talent you have right tools. Unfortunately I could not take my tools with me from Ukraine so to extend the product range and launch the production of cakes and pastries another 600 euros are needed, which will be used to purchase various tools and accessories.
Since last year, due to well-known circumstances, my child and I had to start life in a new country from a scratch, I would like to ask you to support my idea. Let's make this world better and healthier together! And my desserts in return will make you happier. It is proven ☺
