Hello, dear friends and wine lovers who appreciate everything extraordinary! I'm Vera Zemsсova. I'm originally from Moldova and have been living in Tallinn for the past 6 years. I'm a member of the Sommelier Guild of Moldova, and I'm also a sommelier in Estonia. I must confess that I'm a glassware enthusiast – over 100 professional wine glasses are mine. Various kinds, of course :)

 

I also create educational materials about wine regions, draw maps, conduct wine and wine-perfume tastings and organize wine casinos. I'm an expert on Moldavian, Cypriot, and Croatian wines. I'm in the process of writing a book.

 

In a Facebook group, someone has recently created a poll about advent calendars, asking what kind of calendars people want. And I started thinking... Chocolate? Cosmetics? Socks? None of those felt quite right for me. Then it hit me – I need a wine advent calendar! Naturally, I did some research on wine advent calendars. They do exist, of course. But, for the most part, they're just a collection of bottles of different sizes and price ranges. Moreover, many of the ones I found either can' be sent to Estonia or cost a small fortune. And inside, there's nothing special.

Once I have visualised "my" calendar in my mind, I couldn't unsee it. So, I put together its contents and I'm ready to bring my project to life together with all of you!

That's when another idea struck me: we must definitely provide a description and instructions for each advent opening. A new day will mean a new video in three languages: Russian, Estonian, and English. In these videos, I'll share insights about each gift, reveal my secrets, and explain my choices. It's like a mini masterclass from me personally. These videos will be published on the project's dedicated page and will be open to everyone, so even those who don't manage to get the calendar can still immerse themselves in the wonderful world of wine!

 

But that's not all! I understand that not everyone can afford a daily calendar, so I've also put together a 12-opening wine advent calendar.
